Helmet Checkout
As part of the 4th–8th Grade Tackle Football Program, every player is provided with a properly fitted, certified football helmet for the season.
We're proud to offer high-quality equipment, with over 70% of our helmets being just one year old and the remaining helmets either two years old or recently reconditioned and recertified to meet safety standards. We're also excited to have added several new extra-small (XS) helmets this season to better fit our youngest tackle athletes.

4th - 8th Grade Tackle Football Players
When
All tackle football players (Grades 4–8) are required to attend Helmet Checkout to be properly fitted with their helmet for the season.
Helmet Checkout
Sunday, August 2
4:00–7:30 PM
Please register for a time slot based on your athlete's grade:
- 8th Grade: 4:00–4:40 PM
- 7th Grade: 4:20–5:20 PM
- 6th Grade: 5:00–5:40 PM
- 5th Grade: 5:40–6:40 PM
- 4th Grade: 6:40–7:20 PM
Late Helmet Checkout
Sunday, August 9
4:00–6:00 PM

Can't Make Either Helmet Checkout?
If you are unable to attend either helmet checkout date, your athlete may pick up their helmet on the first day of practice, Monday, August 17, at the Helmet Shed.
Please arrive during your grade-level time:
- 4th & 5th Grade: 4:30–5:15 PM
- 6th–8th Grade: 5:30–6:30 PM

Where
Helmets will be distributed from the Helmet Shed, located next to the Maple Grove Sports Dome.
Important Parking Info:
Due to ongoing construction at the High School:
- Enter the parking lot from 99th Ave
- Primary parking is available in the lot next to the Sports Dome
- Secondary parking is near the Tennis Courts — please avoid areas with construction equipment
Procedure
Athletes will initially check in, and then move through stations for fitting, decals, chin straps, etc.
Also onsite will be Dave's Sports Shop - selling Football Pads, Pants, Mouth Guards, Practice Jerseys, and more!
Helmet Checkout - August 2nd
Helmet Checkout will take place at the Helmet Shed, which is next to the Maple Grove Sports Dome by the Maple Grove High School.
The High School is under construction so be sure to enter the parking lot from 99th Avenue.
Please select a time slot that aligns with the grade of your son who is playing football.
8th graders have the first time slots, down to each grade level with 4th graders in the later time slots.
